The season can be over in a blink of an eye…


That’s what my roommate Andrew learned the hard way: He hit one of the big jumps on our kicker-line early in the morning, hadn’t checked the landing and thus didn’t see that the park crew had changed the jump over night. You can imagine what happened next…. Hitting the ground must have been pretty painful and left him with five broken ribs and his lung pierced. But apparently the ambulance ride down the mountain to hospital was even worse (note: it’s a gravel road and pretty bumpy). When I went to hospital to pick up his girlfriend at the end of the day he managed to give me a smile for the camera though. Get well soon, Andrew! And don’t forget the golden park rule: Pre-ride, re-ride, free-ride.
